The Landwehr Canal is a canal in Berlin that stretches from the Spree to the Havel. It was built in the 1820s to relieve the Spree and improve the city's water supply. Today, the Landwehrkanal is a popular destination for boat trips, walks along its promenade and leisure activities such as cycling and inline skating. It also crosses some interesting residential areas and offers a variety of bars, restaurants and cafés along its course. Some important sights are also located near the canal, such as Tempelhofer Park and the Jewish Museum.
